My feelings are hurt

DH's grandmother buys each of her great-grandchildren a crib before they are born. DH's mom and her were talking about it the other day and she flat out said "I won't be buying Jason and Rachel one". No explanation.

Now, while we weren't expecting it, my feelings are hurt. I feel like maybe I did something to upset her. I always thought she liked me but now I am second guessing that. Oh well. I will get over it. I just feel like it might be something I did.

that's terrible...i'm sorry. i would def want to know why she said that. are you and your dh more well off than her other great grandchildren? my grandparents tend to feel that way and help out the ones that they think "need" it more. it's not fair, but i guess in their mind it is.

I'm sorry to hear that. My feelings would be hurt too. I think it would drive me crazy not knowing "why". At least you guys can pick out the crib you want!

That is really odd!!! I would want to know why also. Can DH ask, or bring it up someway?

That sucks. I know you weren't expecting it, but I can totally understand why you'd be hurt. Do you think you can get to the bottom of what her issue is? Could it be the economy or something like that? I know I'd be driving myself crazy wondering. Maybe it's nothing personal. I'm sorry you're dealing with this though!
