How close are you to your siblings

How far apart in age are you from your siblings? My sister is 16 months older than me and we are BFF. I don't think we would be such good friends if we weren't so close in age. I have other sibling that I love, but we don't have a close relationship. I'm curious how other people feel about this. Do you think the age difference matters much?

. I have 3 half sisters 8yrs older, 4yrs older, and 9 yrs younger. I haven't seen the older 2 in 17yrs and the younger one I have seen once. I was closer with the older ones when I was little, but not as we got older.

My brother is 4.5 years younger than me (He'll be 19 in 2 weeks). We're close, but not super close. I think with us it has do do with a mixture of age, gender and general interests.

I'm 6 years older than my sister and 13 years older than my brother. I'm closer to my brother than my sister, but I don't think I'd be closer to my sister even if we were twins! Our personalities are just completely opposite.

I don't think that the age gap determines the level of connection sibling feel -- My brother is 4 years older than I am and we don't get along but it's not because he's older...it's because he sucks. Ok that was mean, no...we're just totalllly different people.

My only sister is approx 3.5 years older than me, but we were 4 years apart in school because of where our birthdays fell... she was a freshman in college when I was a freshman in HS, so we were not in HS or college at the same time. We get along great.

DH has one brother who is approx 2 years younger than him. They don't talk much because they have different interests.

I'm the youngest of 4. My brother is 13 months older and we're super close despite him living in MT. My sisters are 6 and 4 yrs old, I'm closest to my oldest sister which doesn't surprise me and not too close to my other sister.

I have a brother that's 10 years younger than me, and a sister that's 11 1/2 years younger. I don't think much of it, but they think I am old. My brother is a freshman in college this year and my sister just started senior year of h.s., so I guess they're just at that age. I don't feel *that* much older than them. I swear, high school feels like yesterday...

I feel like the only thing I have in common with my older siblings (13 year and 18 years older) is a mother. We were raised completely differently, so maybe that's why.

I have three younger brothers- I am 24 and they are 9, 21, and 18. The 9 year old was born when I was 16 so I got to play mommy for many years, I still do. We talk to each other on the phone and text almost every day. I love him to pieces.

21 yr old is one of my best friends-he is coming to live with me from Jan. to March when he does his student teaching and I can't wait.

18 yr old just went off to his first year of college-most independent kid I know-We are very close also.

I don't know where I'd be without those three and I don't feel age is a difference at all.

My brother is 5 years younger than me. We weren't super close growing up, but after he graduated from high school we got closer. I don't see him much since he's in the Army, but he is being relocated closer to me and I hope to see him more.

My brother is 2.5 years older than me almost to the day and yet he acts like he's 20 years older.

There was a year (about 7 years ago at this point) when he and his now wife we're broken up that him and I were SUPER close. He would come visit me at school every weekend, we would hang out, and when I would come home for break we'd go bowling and have fun BBQ's with our friends in my parents backyard. Him and SIL got back together and I never heard from him again, which is odd because I talk to her often. I miss that time, but talking to him about it at this point is....well, pointless.

My sister is almost 3 years younger than I, and until we were both in high school, we disliked each other intensely. We're really close now, but it took a long time. I don't think age matters as much as personality compatibility.

I have 3 sister: 6 year older, 3 years older and 2 year youngers

growing up i was pretty close to my younger sister, now I'm BF with the one 3 years older than me and don't really get along with the other 2. Its more to do with how we live/our lifestyles and interests and ambitions. Plus, my husband and my BIL married to my sister that I'm close to get along.

My brother is 31, I am 29, and my sister is 24. My sister and I are BFF and we are pretty close with our brother as well. We are also really close with our brother's wife which is cool. DH is 32, his brother is 30, and his sister is almost 27. He is not at all close to his brother but we are both close to his sister.

I'm 29 and my sisters are 19 and 16. It's a different kind of relationship because they are so much younger, but we are getting closer as they get older. I'm actually closer to the 16 year old. We are much more alike.

I'm almost 25 and my brother is 22 so we are pretty close in age. I liked being kinda close in age but we were usually far enough apart where we weren't at the same schools together very long. so that was nice;)

My brother is 3 and half years older and we are close enough to talk on the phone about once a week and joke around on facebook but in the last ten years we have grown apart personally (like he home schools his kids and I think that is wrong and would never do that). We get along fine until we're visiting our parents. Then after about three days we start to get on each others nerves like when we were teenagers.
