pregnancy after preemie

I mostly lurk on here but I wanted to give some hope to you guys that are thinking of having another baby after a preemie.

My ds was born at 26 weeks, I had no complications, my water broke one day due to an infection.

Well to my surprise we got pg again 4.5 years later, and I'm still pg at 35 weeks today and it has been a completely normal pg.

    congrats on your pregnancy!

    you are the first person i have ever found that had an infection (mine was in my placenta) just like i did. although i went into labor first, they broke my water and later figured out from testing that it was an infection. i have googled this topic many times and found a study that says if you had an infection the first time you are 50% more likely to have one the second time. was your obgyn worried about this? you give me hope!!!! did you do anything preventatively?

    thank you for the hope.  although my DD is only 5 months (actual) old, we dream of another... someday.  :)
