I'm due March 10th and I'd like to at least have all the furniture assembled and ready by Christmas. That way if we get gifts and start having showers, I can just wash and put away! I'll probably buy all the "essentials" that I haven't received a few weeks before my due date.
Not sure! We haven't even started on ours yet......the baby won't sleep in there right away anyway. Hopefully we have it finished by the time the baby is here though.
we haven't started yet, but it needs to be done by 35 weeks since I have a tentative induction at 36 weeks.. so even if I don't get induced it will be done on time.
We already have ours almost completed but our shower is at 30 weeks so I am hoping that we can finish it the week after. The only real things we need other then diapers are a changing pad and cover and her bedding other then that we are done!!

Good question! I think that I will try and do some stuff in Dec/Jan when I am on holidays and then off for mat leave. For awhile baby will be in our room just to make life easier but it would be smart for me to start to clear out the office/playroom before she arrives too...
I want the painting done and furniture done (only have the crib left) before my shower, at 30 weeks. So ideally, 28 weeks, giving me an extra week to clean up and rearrange, if necessary.
I am due the first week of February and we are hoping to have everything done before we head out of town for the holidays. Just in case we get home...and things happen faster than we anticipated...I need to have everything as ready as possible in order to be more relaxed when I get home!
We're nearing the end of our renovations to the nursery -- still a lot to do but the list is of smaller things now that the walls are new and the floors are stripped -- so I figure it should be done entirely in about 3 weeks or less.
I guess that puts our nursery complete by around 30 weeks.
My shower is Nov. 7th and I am due Jan. 15th. I will have the room done before my shower. Its actually 98% done now. I want to have it done before the shower so when I come home with all the gifts, clothes and other things, they will have a place to go and I will be organized. I want to relax as much as possible before I am due. I dont want to have to worry about the room or other stuff.

I am just waiting for the wall art that I ordered to arrive so I can hang it then the only thing we'll need is a changing pad and hopefully I get that at my shower which is in the beginning of November! I'm pretty anal and wanted to get it finished before the 3rd tri came because I'm not sure how much energy I will have.
I'm due the day after Christmas. Our nursery is complete and has been for a couple months. Keep in mind that I'm a bit OCD when it comes to stuff like this. I am an Interior Designer, so I couldn't wait to start the room. Good luck with everything!
Baby will be sharing a room w/ DD, so I want to have things put together and organized by the beginning of Jan. DD's big girl bed should be arriving at the end of Oct (on back order-grrrr) and I'll have the crib sometime in November. I want things fairly settled sooner rather than later so DD can adjust. Then we'll have baby in the PNP for about a month to help DD sleep- I'm curious to see how this whole transition goes

I'm 23 weeks now. I will be 30 weeks when my shower is held so I am hopeful that after 30 weeks the nursery will be cleared out so I can start assembling things.
Goal is to be completed finished by 37/38 weeks - only because 2 pieces of our furniture are being made by a friend and that is the deadline I gave him - he is making our nightstand and bookcase. Everything else will be in place by 32 weeks.

It'll take us the next 6 weeks until the anatomy scan to move all DH's office stuff into our other spare room. Uggghhhh...not looking forward to that. Hopefully after we figure out the sex of the baby we'll have everything done by New Year's.
Ours will probably end up being a work in progress until the baby arrives. I'm hoping that we'll have all the furniture bought and set up around the first of the year so that we can finish up the details the last few months.
I would like to have the majority of it done by Christmas. If I'm just adding accessories after that, it won't be too bad, but I definitely want to get it ready sooner rather than later.

I'm trying to have it at least slightly set up by new years... I'm due the 10th so I figure it is cutting it close but most of my furniture is going to be Christmas presents so it can't really be set up before Christmas. I figure as long as I have the crib up, the rest I can work with. And he won't be sleeping in the crib to begin with anyway... so at least when he's ready for it, it will be ready!
I'm due Jan 26th. I really want everything done by Christmas. We have all the furniture in the room we just need to do some painting and the wall decor.
I am due jan 18th, and we already have our furniture and crib put together, and the walls painted, I am doing murals on the wall, so I wanted to give myself plenty of time...
I'd like to be pretty much done by Thanksgiving (which puts me at 34 weeks) so we don't have to mess with it during the holidays.
We're really busy between now and then, though, so we'll see how we do. The biggest hold-up is that our nursery is currently our office, so we have to organize and move a lot of crap out of the room before we can start assembling furniture.
Re: At how many weeks...
I would try to have it done before your shower so you can start putting stuff away after your shower.
I've been done for 2 months though.... and my showers not for 2 more weeks. But I'm a pretty anal planner.

The nursery is still my junk room. We won't start on it for like another month or so.

I planned to have mine complete by week 25, but we were off about a week.
