Babies: 9 - 12 Months

What do you feed your 10 month old on a daily basis?

I am still nursing my son and he also gets cereal, finger foods, etc., but I was wondering what you all feed your kids and how often throughout the day?  Thank you!

Re: What do you feed your 10 month old on a daily basis?

  • My DS has waffles, yogurt or oatmeal for breakfast.  He eats an adult sized yogurt.

Lunch is fruits, yogurt (if we didn't do it at breakfast), applesauce or he will have whatever we have if my DH is home to cook.  Usually hamburgers on the grill and veggies.

Dinner is usually whatever we are having or pasta, chicken, and veggies.

He also gets about 20 ounces of formula a day and snacks.  He is an endless pit of eating though.  Most meals he eats a huge portion of what we have and is on table foods.

  • I am still nursing as well.  I work PT so DD is in daycare and takes 4 bottles there in addition to breakfast (a fruit puree) and lunch (either a puree or table food depending on what they are having).  When I am home with her she has fruit for breakfast or cereal.  She loves yogurt and pancakes.  Lunch is whatever I am having.  She likes cheese and lunchmeat.  Dinner again is usually what we are having...she likes pasta, steamed veggies.  She eats pretty much anything.  I am amazed that she still nurses as much as she does and is 10.5 months old.  I will add that we started giving her 3 solid meals at 10 months.  Hope that helps!

  • She gets 3 meals and 2 snacks.

Breakfast ex: avocado, hard boiled egg, banana or waffle/pancake, fruit and yogurt/cottage cheese

Lunch ex: Grilled cheese, fruit or cheese and fruit, cottage cheese, chicken, noodles, soups or soup veggies, tortellini and sauce (pesto, alfredo or tomato), any leftovers we have.

Dinner ex: whatever I am making for dinner.

  • Pretty much anything we eat! Sometimes I give him Gerber Graduates raviolis or pasta and cheese shells if he is being fussy. Otherwise, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, pasta, chicken, everything! Snacks also such as puffs, cheerios, wagon wheels.
  • Lots of fruit/veggie finger foods. Right now, zucchini.

Pasta, pita bread, rice and beans, grilled cheese, oatmeal.

    Yogurt, Cheerios, Goldfish

Plus many things we make to eat for ourselves (lasagna, eggs, chicken, meatballs, etc)

    She loves food!
