I will be near Orlando mid-October and I am curious about the weather that time of the year.
DH isn't coming, but I have some decent co-workers that will be with me. Some are bringing their families and a few will be solo like me. Here's where we're staying. I'll be there 4 days - at a conference during the day, but free time at night!

Is there some good restaurants near by? What would you recommend I do while I'm there? I was planning to treat myself to a spa treatment or two.
P.S. I'm not really into the Disney thing or rides.
Re: Question for ladies in FL
Depending on cool fronts (or just the random breezes) it can be pretty nice during the day but better at night (hi 88 low 74 if it stays like it is now).
There's some killer oultet malls https://www.primeoutlets.com/orlando that have some awesome stuff (were good walking shoes, it's a huge place). But if you have a day off you can follow hgwy192 all the way to the beach in melbourne.
I"d say just bring a light sweater/cardigan and sandals :-)

Ditto PP.
I live in south Florida, so I don't think I can give you any useful advice (i.e., I think it's far too cold anytime it hits the low 70s), but I hope you have a great trip!

O, I look forward to the recommendations!
I don't think I'll have a rental car because there is a shuttle to/from the airport. If there's something worth seeing/doing that requires a rental I might consider.

Hi Peetie!
I am not really familiar with the Orlando area but I know there is a lot of Restaurants up and down International Drive. You can also go to Downtown Disney. Since you are staying at one of the hotels, you should have free transportation there. There are some really good places to eat there (Wolfgang Puck had these to die for pumpkin raviolis with a sage butter sauce) and also there is some cool bars. There is the Cirque show there as well.
Thanks so much!
