"You are sooo tiny!" Everyday someone says that to me. I have an unusually long torso, therefore I don't look 30 weeks pregnant at all! But all is good, baby is measuring right at 30 weeks!
That I have a long time to go still. I realize I have a while, but its not that far off. I think they only hear Im due in Nov and not that its Nov 2nd!
Or when asked how I am feeling & I say great - the response "oh well you'll be miserable soon." gee thanks.
I'm convinced that most people have no idea what pregnant women actually look like when they REALLY ARE about to deliver. (because, really, a 9 month pregnant belly is REALLY big That's the point.) Anyway, that's the only explanation I have. Other women who say things like that have either never have had children, or are in denial/have forgotten about how big they got.
I used to get "Wow, how far along are you?" and shocked looks when I told them, months ago. But, now that I really am 9 months pregnant, a lot of people are surprised I'm so far along. Can't make 'em happy.
I did get, "When are you gonna drop that kid?" last week from a VERY southern man, which was the most hilarious thing I've heard this time around. But rude people seem to have stayed out of my way during this pregnancy.
I've been hearing "you are so cute pregnant" and "you look amazing"
I havent gained much weight at all since I started out overweight and have been eating way healthier since getting my bfp. And i have that insane pregnancy glow, I have given up on all makeup except for mascara because I just don't need it!
It's nice to hear but at the same time I kinda want to say "what, did you expect me to gain 60 lbs and look like an extra from the night of the living dead?!?"

i totally agree with this. from pics i see on here to other people i know, my belly is really not all that much bigger than other 34-weekers. sometimes i say, "well, yeah my belly needs to be big, i have a 5 pound baby in here already!"

I hear the same thing! ?I'm tall (6'), so baby has more room. ?I hear it all the time though, "you're so small!". ?Oh well... ?:-)?
I've been getting, "You're all belly!" a lot lately - which is true. The massive amount of weight I've gained thus far IS all between my collar bone and hips ... The belly's just so big that no one realizes that my boobs are out of control.
And, my favorite, "I think that this baby's going to be bigger than Calloway." Why, thank you - I appreciate your confidence that I have the ability to gestate 9+ pound babies during every pregnancy.
"You're eating again?" **I snack with yogurt, fruit, etc all day. "How many are in there?" **Just one baby but so tempted to say "A litter". "Does your doctor know you're eating that?" **groans "When are you due again? You look so big." **I am excited to answer the first question and want to throat punch for the second comment.
There is no way you are going to make it to 40 weeks! or Your baby is going to be huge!
-- My belly looks really big because I'm just under 5 feet tall so everyone thinks I'll either have him early or he'll be a big baby. I don't bother explaining anymore that my measurments are normal, it is just that I'm short.
For a long time, it was the "are you sure you aren't having twins?" comment. Now, the last couple weeks, it's been more the "are you ready for it to be over?" or the "you haven't had that thing yet?" comments. SO annoying.
I get "you're not due until November?? You look like you could go into labor anyday now". I just ignore them after that. I wish I could come up with a good response to make them feel like an idiot for saying that. Any suggestions.....
The problem is I don't feel cute. I feel tired and run-down looking all the time. Sometimes, I think they are just trying to be nice, or they really just like pregnant ladies.
Some variation of you're so tiny/compact/look like you're only 20 weeks. One of my personal favorites is you can't tell you're pregnant from behind - not sure what that means exactly but it does make me think I am doing an adequate job camouflaging my massive weight gain in my butt! And I also get "how are you feeling" at least 10 times per day at work - isn't there any other question you can ask pregnant women?
Re: what comment do you hear most often?
You're still pregnant?
Umm, yeah- do you see a baby?

Either "you got bigger overnight/over the weekend/etc" (thank, so did your mouth) or "wow, you're going to have a big baby."
Not a fan of either comment.
"Is the baby here yet?"
NO. SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU.

Mine is more of a look I get...
How far along are you?
I answer.. then comes the look. Shock...eyes bulging...
Yes people, my belly is big. Get over it.
