NBR: Politics and Facebook Rant

I am getting so annoyed with people posting their views on Facebook...and then their "friends" "facebook arguing" about it.  I even find people I agree annoying.  I don't know what the purpose is.  Chances are opinions will not change and I'm just tired of it.  Makes me want to defriend them!  I'd much rather hear about your trip to the grocery store.

    understand that it's annoying...but personally I prefer facebook posts about political beliefs than some other things people post - yesterday a girl I knew from HS (who went and "friended" our entire graduating class it seems) had statuses about her financial problems.  I have a few people who post TMI stuff about their sex lives or their partying.

    I do get in the occasional political debate with my cousins because they post things and we disagree.  But we keep it respectful.

    I really can't stand when ppl update their status every hour: going to the store, back from the store, going to the gym, back from the gym....Who the eff cares!  We all have daily routines.  It doesn't mean that we have to broadcast them via fb!

    I tend to ignore them, mostly because I have some VERY ignorant friends!  It can get very annoying.  I rarely post something political just because I don't want to start a political debate.  I was tempted yesterday to say something about the whole ACORN prostitution thing but that is just a disgusting, totally WRONG situation.  I've only seen the "I killed my husband" video once but I wanted to puke.  I think I alluded to it in a post but didn't directly say anything political.

    I am guilty of getting into political stuff on FB.  I can't help it -- I'm a very political person.  I try to be respectful, though I definitely have friends who are not.

    I think this is what bothers me the most.  If people would be respectful, I would engage, but that doesn't seem to be the case with my friends!
