LOs and Christmas

What are you guys doing for your LOs for Christmas? My DS is only going to be 6 months and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to get him? Any ideas or suggestions? What are yalls plans??

I'm getting some books, bibs, maybe a couple of outfits...but that's about it.

I saw some blocks that I want to get DS and DH acted like he needed to go all out, so we'll see. We have to celebrate early, because we always spend X-mas back home in Minnesota.

Just a couple of outfits and learning toys. I'm sure the grandparents will do more than is necessary at this point for LO!

DS will be 6 months too. We're not getting him anything. We're making a list of things we NEED for our parents to get him... high chair, convertible car seat, stationary play thing, etc... It's too early to go overboard with gifts. He wont even remember this christmas, so whatever.

Some small toys and some "necessities" by that age- like spoons and stuff for when he is into the solids and outfits to grow into. Nothing extravagant or not a lot of stuff either. He has so much as it is!

My LO will be around the same age. We're thinking of some little toys I've seen in the infant section. Some clothes. I'm trying to have to calm down Dh he wants to buy everything for him.

I'll probably get a couple of cute hair ribbons and outfits, maybe some books....but the grandparents have been asking for suggestions because they want to spoil her!

I'm making her a small wishlist on amazon.com for them. I'm putting on: a walker thing like this, a large play yard and mat, and a couple of other 9 month toys (she'll be 6 months at Christmas too).

DD was 7 mos old; we got her an activity table, books, clothes; family spoiled her so we didnt have to :-)

WELL before i had DS, my plan had always been to get as many presents as the age. (1 present this year and next)

I didn't want him to get overwhelmed by things and to appreciate them. But now i'm thinking that's gonna be tough because spoiling him is a lot of fun. I'm big on books though, so he'll probably get a "big" present, like a $50ish toy and then some books and small things.

Yep, ours will be 6 months at Christmas too. I don't think we'll buy her too much (I figure this'll be the last time we can ever say that, so might as well take advantage of it) but I know our relatives will. We're making a book list, that's most important to us right now. I'm sure we'll get some toys too, we do need some, but I'm going to ask--no matter what they get, clothes, toys, books, whatever--that it's not all for a 6 month old. I'd like to have some stuff for her to grow into using.

That said, I can't wait for her first Christmas, even if we aren't spoiling her!

Books, clothes to get him through until summer, small toys, sippy cups

Grandparents are doing toys and savings bonds

We don't want to do to much because he'll get a lot for his birthday in June (clothes, toys) and he's not really going to remember this Christmas.

I really want to get DD her first doll (although she has about 20 of mine!) I'm sure we'll get her some books or something as well... we celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah, so DD is going to be quite the spoiled little girl.

I don't plan to buy much at all, and am begging my family to do the same. We just don't have room for a lot of stuff, and at this age, they don't really know what is going on and don't need a whole lot to keep them entertained.

My LO will be 9M at Christmas. I am planning to buy some summer toys (deeply discounted over the next month or so)-- water table, swing, sandbox, bubble mower, stuff like that for next summer.

I bought a few things at a garage sale- baby sled ($3), block toy ($10), books & videos (10 cents each)-- great finds.

Our splurge will be a 1 yr membership to the zoo.

I'm making him a book through blurb.com that starts with me meeting his dad and goes through his birth - it reads like a bedtime story. That's the main gift. We also got a blow up toy that is good for crawlers. We will probably get a few more little things that help with motor skills. The grandparents I'm sure will do plenty.

I think we're going to get her a convertible carseat. By then she will definitely need it (possibly sooner, actually) and it is practical.

I figure family will do well with gifties.

LOL nope!! I'm just an Alabama fan!! When I was in college, my best friend and boyfriend at the time went to Jacksonville State and I spent A LOT of time over there. So, I just chose Bama to be "my" college team since I didnt have one before then!! LOL. I catch a lot of crap for it since I live in Georgia. But I dont care because Bama is at the top of their game right now and thats all that matters!!! Stick out tongue
