My hubby and baby are having a hard time bonding. Baby cries even when hubby tries to comfort him, any suggestions on what we can do to help them bond?

Dh has to pick her up every day, I leave them alone for an hour in the evening and also he has to feed her when Im not nursing her. Im gonna start letting him give her a bath. My peanut is not thrilled with her daddy. So welcome! GL! You should leave the house because the crying will kill u!
I give hubby LO right after she's eaten so he can burp her & then enjoy some quiet time with her. He 'dances' with her before bed & puts her down. I find right after she eats she's calm & will go to anyone so it was a good way to get them to know eachother. Now he can calm her at other times too.
We went through that and worked at it. Every night while I make dinner DH plays with DS. He also gave him one bottle a day until I went back to work and on Saturdays they spend a few hours together while I go to WW, get my nails done, and go food shopping. Today when DH went to leave DS with MIL while we're at work DS freaked out that he was leaving. It was sad but DH was excited that for the first time DS wanted him.
Dh will need to learn how to sooth your LO in his own way. As moms we learn how to sooth our LO's and we have a checklist we can go through fast to find out what the issue is and fix it. Husbands need to make their own check list so they can find what is wrong with LO and sooth them.?
It was really hard a first to listen to DS cry when Dh would hold him. I would try and give DH tips on how to sooth him but sometimes that didnt work. DH told me that he needed time to find ways to sooth his son in his own way. I would go in the livingroom and turn the TV up so I did not have to listen to DS cry. After a few days DH found things that worked for him and DS and now they are great together.
Dh can sooth DS in ways I cant just as I can sooth DS in ways DH cant. It will get better you just have to let your DH find what works for him and your LO.?
We had the same problem here (w/ my 14 month old). Never found a miracle cure or anything.. but it got a little better with time. Now for the last two months he's wanting no one but daddy and now I'm the one with the broken heart : (
FI and DS bond during "boy's only time" aka when mommy is at work and they sit around watching tv in their undies and FI talks to him about Transformers and all his weird Syfy shows. He's done this since day one and DS adores FI. Just have him do his normal thing but talk to the baby at the same time face to face. Most LO's love laying on daddy's chest, FI's two older daughters did, but DS would rather look at him.
Re: Hubby and Baby Question
This. Go to the store or to the mall to walk around for a little bit and leave them alone. It does wonders! And you get alone time - it's a win-win!
