2nd Trimester

I am in tears at my desk...

Re: I am in tears at my desk...

  • Do yourself a favor and don't watch stuff like that. Be happy right now. I had people forward that to me on FB and as a cop (pre-pregnancy) I could stand to watch it because it's the job. Now? No way, not watching it. It is too tender for me to watch and I can't take it right now. I cry watching the hallmark channel so I know what I'd be doing if I were to watch that the whole way through.

Why would anyone even consider clicking the link??  Oh, the most awful thing you've ever seen, SWEET!  Can't wait to check that out.  Confused

I didn't click on your link. If it's the most awful thing you've ever heard or seen, why did you feel the need to share it with other women, some of whom (myself included) are super emotional/hormonal?

That poor, poor baby.  I can't imagine how people could be so evil - especially those who should have loved her most.

Oh your right, I wish I never watched it, left alone passed it to you ladies      :( I'm sorry guys.

  • I actually saw it last week on my friends facebook page. It is awful but it does happen and we cannot forget that...especially for that little girls sake.
  • That is so unbelieveable. I just showed DH and he is pissed, this is so sad. That poor baby

  • I had heard her story before and I agree tht it does need to be remembered.  While I understand some ladies' views about this not being the best place for the video, I also think we all need to remember that child abuse does happen.  It is awful and horrific, but not something we really wish to dwell on while pregnant.

Can you give a not to detailed synopsis? I am afraid to click.

  • Ignoring child abuse doesn't make it go away. Some things are unpleasant, but I think raising awareness is never a bad thing.

It's about child abuse, and this beautiful little girl named Brianna who passed away from her mom dad and uncle beating her :( She must've been about 3 months. Don't watch it. I feel awful for even posting it. I just think it's such a HUGE problem that we should all be concerned about.

  • Just aweful. It is scary that we live in a world with people who are like this.

Watching videos of children being beaten (or whatever it is) doesn't make it go away either.  I am fully aware of child abuse without watching this video.

It was a news report. Not a video of someone beating a child.

  • that was terrible i dont even know how you could do such things to such a sweet little thing
i was afraid to watch it because i too am overly emotional but i agree that it is something that people need to know about

  • I had to stop watching after I saw the first picture....That completely breaks my heart & I really feel like weeping right now, but I am trying my hardest to hold back tears. This def. makes me want to scoop my sweet baby girl up and hug her and love on her all night long! I dont really understand the minds of people who would even have thoughts of beating a child...Their judgement will come and I pray God's wrath will be MIGHTY on unrepentive hearts.

I also don't agree with you sharing this with other pregnant women who have the same extra emotions as you do, but I do agree with people needing to know the severity. Hearing about it and actually seeing pictures are definitely 2 forms of awareness. Seeing it first hand can def. change someone's heart and mind on child abuse. My heart aches for that little precious baby girl, but I know that she is back in my Father's hands and I definitely have joy in knowing that!

  • Wow. That is horrible. Who cares if she wanted to post it.  Awareness to any problem is a good thing.  What does watching it while pregnanant have to do with anything..

Thanks. I can't believe these monsters qualify to be called "humans".

Awareness is a GREAT thing! I agree. But I am not sure if you have noticed, but most of us pregnant ladies cry over someone squishing a gnat. So you can imagine (or maybe you can't!? IDK?) what watching this video (of graphic pictures of a beaten and bruised 3-6 month old baby) will do to the pregnant heart. I would still be heart broken if I watched the video non pregnant , just b-c I am a woman, but pregnancy hormones are like multiplied by a billion+ ! so that's what it has to do with.

This and thank you for posting it. Yes it is the most horrible thing I've seen but it serves as a reminder to keep our own eyes and ears open for signs of child abuse in our own communities.
