2nd Trimester

How much fun is maternity clothes shopping!!!

Okay, I know I am only 13 weeks, 3 days, but I am already showing...a lot, 2nd baby and I have a fibroid which makes me look slightly bigger!  I just spent the past two hours shopping for maternity clothes at Old Navy and it was so much fun!  I don't remember it being this much fun 7 years ago!  I must admit my hormones have been out of wack and I have been an emotional roller coaster the past couple of weeks but this shopping trip was exactly what the doctor ordered!!!!

Anyway I just had to post my excitement!!!

Hope all the mommies to be are having a great Wednesday!!!

  • Fun? None. I didn't check but I can only assume this is your first pregnancy and you're not very far along.

I dread going maternity shopping. I am pregnant with #3 and refuse to go buy some more clothes so I am continuing to do the good ol rubber band trick.

  • I don't like it at all.  I can't find any pants that fit good.  I am a pre preg 0/2 and it's hard to find pants that are that small.   The thought of it irritates me, I am dreading my next shopping trip
  • No

Not for me. I have a very small frame, and very long legs, so I can't find anything that fits. Add to that, not wanting to pay a fortune for everything, and I have a very hard time. Oh, and did I mention the nearest maternity clothes are an hour and a half from where I live?

    Glad its exciting for you!

  • I was very anti-maternity clothes shopping until I started shopping on eBay.  I'm totally a bargain hunter, and I have found some gorgeous clothes on eBay for just a couple of bucks.  I don't think I've ever dressed so well in my life.

  • I've enjoyed it too.  I haven't done much, but the small amount I've gotten has been fun. Feeling better in clothes (not squished and bloated) and actually looking pregnant is exciting

Like I said, I didn't check. And in 7 years, yeah it is pretty much like starting over.

  • I am not enjoying maternity clothes shopping at all.  Everything i found has been ugly, doesn't fit right, or is overpriced for the poor quality.  I was able to find a few things at Old Navy when I first got pregnant, but they have since stopped carrying maternity clothing at all of their local stores.  I can sew and I am thinking about just finding a few maternity patterns and making my own clothes now.

  • It's actually my second pregnancy and i am not far along but due to my fibroid I am showing more that the average 13 week pregant woman.
  • Talk about raining on parade...GEEZ!  Perhaps I shouldn't post my excitment anymore Crying  I really did enjoy it!  I guess I figure I can't keep squeezing in to my regular clothes so I mine as well enjoy the process!

    Good luck ladies!

    This.

  • Don't let them get you down!  I love shopping.  Even for maternity clothes.  I already have a pretty extensive maternity wardrobe, but alas, I was on line browsing today.  What can I say, I'm a sucker for elastic waists and tunic shirts.
  • Glad you are feeling well and having fun shopping!

It depends on the day for me.  Sometimes maternity shopping is fun and other times, well, I'm just not feeling it.

  • I didn't like it much due to everything being too expensive or too cheap looking until I found Gap Maternity.  It was like a light shined down from above.  It helped me feel "normal" again, at least for a little bit.  It can be fun (in it's own way) if you are finding stuff that works for you!

  • Ugh, this is my first baby and I HATE maternity shopping. It is so hard to find clothes! Every store I go to has about two maternity racks with mostly old ladyish clothing... sorry if I offend anyone. I tried Motherhood Maternity too but I am not happy about paying $25.00 for a t-shirt! Sigh... glad you enjoyed it though. :)
