How long can you go without seeing your lo?

I am wanting to do a mom and dad get away and thinking about doing about 4 days.... to long or to short... I don't want to be home sick from my baby but I don't want to cut my husband/wife time to short either!

I could go a week. When my Dad had his heart attack I went up to Boston for a week and a few days. I missed the heck out of my kids, but I knew that they were in good hands with DH and I really wanted to be there with my Dad.

I would definitely do a long weekend trip with DH!

H & I went to Florida with 2 other couples last month and we stayed 3 nights. I really think that's the longest I could have done. I didn't want to leave the beach but I couldn't WAIT to get home to D!

PS - the 'couple time' was priceless for us. Enjoy!

The longest I've been away from him is about 12 hours and that was overnight. I would probably do a weekend get away, leave Fri. afternoon and come back Sat. afternoon if it were my first time leaving ds. But I'm chicken so that's the longest I could do.

ETA: I meant come back Sun. afternoon

i've never been away from Liam for longer than a work-day (8 hours). i really can't imagine being away from him for longer yet.

maybe 2 days. .. .

we've been away for maybe 16ish hours - leave DD w/ my mom or MIL in the afternoon, go out that night and pick her up again the next morning/early afternoon. 4 days would be a little much.

I've spent exactly one night away from DS (it was for my best friends wedding, I was MOH) and while it was a nice break, it's not something I'm looking to do regularly!

Only a work day (8 hrs). We are going to a Friday evening wedding in Novemeber and I am thinking of leaving her overnight with my parents, but I bet we would be home by 8 am. It is just not a safe route to be driving home in the evening otherwise we would come home for sure. I value a few hrs alone or with dh but I can't stand being away for more than that at this point.

we did 4 days this past labor day and it was heaven. I still pumped while on vacation. We dropped him off in Miami with my family so logistically it was hard but once the logistics were out of the way, we had a blast!

We did for 48 hrs last month & I really wasn't ready for it. A big part was that the "romantic" place we were going turned out to be a hole! THat with the fact that I just missed A too much, my expectations were too high.

I am gone from him while I work for about 8 hours, and that's the longest I'll go. If I have to do something in the evenings, I will take off work early to hang out with him.
