  I believe that is after the first tri when you see/hear the heartbeat and 3% stays with you for the rest of your pregnancy, as long as your not high risk. I believe though I'm not a doctor

  I thought it was 8% after you could see/hear a heartbeat... but who really knows? ?

  Sorry...my computer just froze! 

  That is goes down to 3% after you hear the heart beat at 6 weeks, and then 1% after 8 weeks?

  This is what I have heard. ?Well that after seeing a heartbeat in first tri, the rest of your pregnancy you only have a 3% chance.?

  My OB said at my last u/s that once you see and hear the heartbeat and the baby is measuring well at 8 weeks, your chance goes down to 1%.  I was a little surprised how low that is.

  My perinatalogist  told me 5% and about 1% or less after 10 weeks.

  The stats vary depending on source.  But usually a detected heartbeat at any time gets you down to 1-5% depending on the source.  There are other studies that say your risk is decreased most significantly after 1st tri.
