2nd Trimester

Would you call the doc? Re: Movement

I know I'm only about 19 weeks so it's still pretty early, but I've been feeling LO every single day for about 2 weeks now. Not a ton, just at least a 5 minute period of little kicks, bumps and stretches every morning and every night. I didn't feel him/her at all yesterday and nothing today yet, either.

I tried the orange juice, the ice water, the snack. I've put my feet up. Pretty much everything except standing on my head.

I know it's early in my pregnancy but I keep flashing back to my doctor saying "No one knows yoru body better than you" and I feel like I should have felt LO by now.

Thoughts? Please no flames!

  • I have days or long periods of time when i don't feel Lo at all too.  However if your worried call your dr since stress isn't good for you or the baby.   Also, I find laying on your side always get's lo to move.

  • You could try poking and pushing on your baby. That always wakes my little guy up! Good luck and I hope you figure out what's going on!

  • At 19 weeks... I would probably wait until tomorrow because you may still feel something tonight. It's up to you, but I doubt there is much cause for worry at this point.
  • Doctor's get these questions all the time. So if calling would give you a little piece of mind then I would. They will tell you when you should start worrying.
