How long was it until they got on hands and knees to crawl? Or did they just never do that? DS started army crawling/scooting (he kind of drags himself around very quickly lol) a couple of weeks ago and I'm wondering if he might just skip regular crawling altogether. What did your LO do? TIA

It took about two weeks. He also would get on all fours and rocked.It should be soon

He army crawled for around a month or so before going to all fours crawling.

I thought the same thing because DS got around so well army crawling. For two months, he army crawled without ever getting on his hands and knees. I was surprised when, the day before he turned 8 months, he started regular crawling and pulling himself up like he had been doing it for ages. Maybe he was secretly practicing?!

DD started the army crawl right after she turned 7 months. She just started crawling on all fours the day she turned 9 months- so it took a good 2 months. Every baby is different though, so it could very well be sooner than that!

My son started army crawling at 6 months and did this all through 7 months. Then he would go back and forth between army crawling and hands and knees for month 8 and then when he was 9 months he just went to hands and knees only so it was a gradual process. I thought at first for sure he would just army crawl until he started walking.

She army crawled at 7.5mos and started hands & knees crawling at 8.5mos.
