Success after IF

DH Vent!

I hate to start the morning with a vent but if I dont let it out here, and DH continues these things today (he is home on holidays) he might not make it through the day.

This morning DS needs to be changed, it is pretty obvious to anyone with a nose why. DH says he will do it, and gets the diaper, wipes, etc ready as I head downstairs to start laundry. About 10 minutes later I come back upstairs, DS is still parading around the living room in a now extremely full and really nasty diaper.

" He won't hold still, I can't change him." says DH, sitting comfortably on the couch drinking a coffee.

ARGH!!! Distract him, give him a remote to hold or a phone, you can't just leave him like that!

Another DH vent, while on our holidays, DH decides he no longer wants to cosleep with DS and says we should let him CIO. This after 22 hours of travelling overseas, to a tiny cottage we are sharing with my parents, that has common not so thick walls with the neighbours. I nearly left DH behind!

Re: DH Vent!

  • How frustrating! I don't blame you for being frustrated with him. My son is not walking yet but DS has started kicking his legs while changing him and DH tries to tell me that it is getting too hard to change him. Ummmm....it is only going to get worse!

  • I feel your pain.  DHs are sometimes helpless - not all the time.  My DH can't change a diaper without ME, hello, I do it by myself ALL.THE.TIME.

    I get this...

you still cosleep?  or bedshare?  so do we just curious how long you will?
