Grunting Baby

My 3 month old daughter has been very loud ever since she was born. Specifically, she makes grunts, groans and make churp-like sounds day and night. Does anyone else have a noisy baby? If so, does it mean anything developmentally?

lol ! My LO grunts and gurgles all the time, especially when she's eating or has just finished eating. I think it's hilarious and super cute. Not sure if it "means" anything. I think it's just a baby thing

I know when my DD is grunting...that only means one thing...a diaper change!!

I checked w/ pedi - all normal unless they seem like they are in pain. DS is a grunter!

my son does this also, mostly in his sleep as well. i doubt it has anything to do with development and would imagine it has more to do with them doing mostly REM sleep which isn't as deep sleep as non-REM sleep, so essentially i think they're sleep-talking

also some of my son's grunts are due to gas so if i hear those grunts i'll usually pick him up and try for a good burp.
