There has got to be a host of issues/emotions that come with doin' this parenting thing on one's own. You ladies are amazing - I am uber-dependent on the support of my DH.
That is all.

Clicky polls like the one below kinda make me cringe. I don't even want to open it, but I'm curious to see the results. I don't have the luxury of complaining that I "have" to do everything.
How would I even contact a Mod (as someone suggested to be once before)?
When Alex was 3 months old, my DH had to go away on business for a week. I did not live near any family and my friends were mostly people I worked with (who were at work!)...it was the toughest week of my life. MAD props to single parents.

I can't believe that they did not already come up with that one...there are some random topics....unless single parents don't even get the tome to sit down and screw around on the computer enough to complain!
I agree with DoubleDiamond here. And I think the single moms here (and on 6-12, etc.) should petition the Bump for a "Single Moms" board. It can work?I speak from experience as someone who requested the Parenting after 35 board.
I couldn't agree more. I respected single parents before but after having a baby I completely bow down to them. I'm a disaster WITH a very supportive partner...can't imagine doing it on my own.
Re: There really should be a Single Moms board
Couldn't agree with you more.

Send an email to the Nest/Bump. They are really good about listening for new board suggestions. I think a single parent board is a valid request.
