My LO had some type of eye infection at that age I believe. The Pedi said it was her tear duct. He gave me a perscription for eye drops. Its really expensive at the pharmacy. Like $60 bucks for a small tiny bottle. Come to realize the Pedi had a sample at his office. So if he prescribes you something always ask if he has it in his office. Its not a sample its the whole bottle. I can't remember if LO was 1 month or 2 months. I didn't know what it was either. Just take LO to the Pedi to have it checked out. It did clear up pretty fast. Also I think you can warm up a washcloth put it over LO's eye and press or rub under the eye near the tear duct too.

Brendan still has this in his right eye. Pedi told me to do this first but if it didn't work he wrote me a script for the medication too.
my daughter actually has the same problem right now as well. i got ointment from my pedi but it didn't reeally work. tehy're calling me in something different, hopefully it works. warm compress on the duct seems to work decerntly. good luck!
