Have you checked out ravelry? They had a few, although as I recall most of their crocheted ones weren't free. It's been awhile since I've looked, though.

You can find patterns on etsy that send you pdfs. I used the Ladybugz pattern when I was starting but didn't like the fit so I used the tools I learned while making it to design my own. I've debated writing it down to sell, but it's mostly intuition so it's hard to explain.
I ditto ravelry. I've seen some on there, nothing great to look at necessarily but functional. Also, you could easily add leg bands if the pattern doesn't already have them, you'd just do it after the fact.
