I just saw on my FB newsfeed a video memorial for the son of a guy I went to high school with. His son was born at 24 weeks and had triploidy. Apparently the odds are 1 in 12,000 for this chromosomal abnormality and most don't make it past 12 weeks. He lived for 1 hour after being born.
I am just heartbroken for him. It was so sad to see pictures of him and his wife just beaming in her pregnancy pictures and then holding this tiny, underdeveloped baby who was certainly going to die. I want to wake up DS and snuggle him so much. We are just SO very blessed.....
Re: Hug your babies...(very sad)
I agree. Ugh, how sad.
I read an obituary the other day for a girl I went to high school with's son who died of a brain tumor at the age of 3. Tragic.
