RPL Testing today

The Dr. I met with was quite nice. She seemed to like clotting disorders as a good potential issue due to family history and also cause I already have a child. She said there was an increased chance something was wrong with this many miscarriages as we were on the younger side.

 

Took a wack of blood (20 plus vials from me) and nine from DH. DH complained that there were so many taken from him. It was quite funny, his little 9 vials vs. the basket full they took from me.

 

I get to go back for an ultrasound, sonohysterogrphy (were their going to inflate some balloon like thing ? sounds less then pleasant), and endometrial biopsy (sample of uterine lining ? also sounds not all that pleasant) over the course of the next month. DH also gets to bring in a ?sample?  J

 

Then we meet back in 6 weeks at the end of October with some answers hopefully. I'm feeling better then I have been now that theres maybe some answers in my future.

    Plus she said once I get ku she will do betas untill I reach 6000 (I think thats what she said) and then frequent u/s to keep on eye on things.

    Isn't it wonderful going to an RE?! ?I felt so empowered once I began with mine and we started to attack the problem. ?I had the sono thingy and an HSG. ?They weren't pleasant but weren't totally horrible either. ?

    My husband had to give a sample too. ?At my RE's office they have a separate private area called the "production room" with a lounge chair, DVDs and magazines. ? My DH actually laughed about it afterwards and said it wasn't bad at all. ?

    Good luck getting answers.?
