Tennessee Babies

Hello TN mamas!!

I just booked a flight to Nashville for the end of Sept and I have never been before :) Im super stoked but was wondering if there are a couple of "must-sees" to visit while Im down. I will be attending the MOPS convention for a greater part of the trip but I will also have some chill time as well. I am also wondering if there are some good photo spots. I would love to play around with my new camera and am always looking for some spectacular landmarks, views and places!

Thank You!

Re: Hello TN mamas!!

  • I recommend Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. They have some really lovely grounds and a variety of different gardens.  There is even a Japanese water garden and covered bridge.  They have a small art gallery on site, as well, that usually has some interesting exhibits.

  • There is a really cool specialty Popsicle store that I would  definitely recommend! It is kind of hidden in a strange place but it is worth going to! It is called Las Paletas and has been featured on the food network before. Try some of the strange-sounding flavors, you will be surprised how good they are.

Huh...I've never even heard of this...interesting. I'll have to find it.

I second the rec for Cheekwood. The Opryland Hotel also has a beautiful atrium (the largest under one roof in the world, I believe) with waterfalls and all kinds of walks. There's also the Country Music Hall of Fame, if you are so inclined. I still haven't been to it, but I really want to - even though I'm not the biggest of country fans...hehe.

You might also like the walking bridge over the river near the football stadium.
