what non-velcro bibs do you use?

anything with velcro Savannah can get off in a heartbeat.  i have one that is a type of vinyl on the front, cotton on back, snaps and has a pouch to catch food.  however, it keeps getting mildew on it.  i wash and hang it up after every meal.  it says no bleach but i have to every few days to kill the mildew.

what do y'all use?  thanks!

  • I have seen some at Walmart that snap and have a pouch, but they're not vinyl.  I'm not sure what the material is, but they're washable.

  • Daycare uses some that are a terry material and tie.  You could probably buy a bunch of those and wash them w/ regular laundry (and bleach when necessary).

Our daycare uses a terry bib too only it snaps.  I have no idea where they get them from though.

  • I got the Bumpkin brand that is vinyl and it is "non" mildew, it never has. But it has a velcro neck, maybe they make it with a tie. I really like it because it is easy to clean and doesn't get gunky.

  • Check out Babysteals today, they have bibs that go over the head with no velcro or ties, baby can't get them off.

  • My mom is the director of a daycare, and she swears by these bibs. (They come in other colors!) At DC they wash daily and they last a long time.

I have one JJ Cole bib I really like, it has snaps and is a really thick bib.  It wipes down so much easier than the other vinyl ones we have.

  • My current favorites are the bigger size Carter ones and they have a snap.  They work well for us, but you do have to machine wash them.  I think I've got 9 of them though.
