DD has been spitting up for a few weeks, but the consistency has changed. its gone from liquidy milk and sometimes watery with chunks, to thick and mucusy. It comes out a thick, long string. usually 2-3x after eating.
Normal. As long as she's not in pain and gaining fine, there's not much you can do. You could try a formula made for reducing spit up (Similac RS or Enfamil AR).
And might as well invest in many, many more burp cloths and bibs now. I speak from experience.
Yeah, I put towels down on everything now. In fact, I forgot to put one down this afternoon and I now need to wash the slipcover on one of the couch cushions for the third time in a month! He spit up on my skirt twice in one feeding yesterday. Cloth diapers make great spit-up rags!
oh yes, i already bought another 12-pack of gerber cloth dipes last week! i BF and i know a little spit is fine. i was just surprised to see it so thick.
