Anyone have surgery while pregnant?

I need to have my gallbladder taken out and the surgeon is thinking of doing it now because the second trimester is ideal for surgery.

Anyone have experience with surgery during pregnancy? I trust that they wouldn't be recommending something unsafe and they've assured me the baby won't be harmed...but I'm still nervous.

I havent but my friends appendix had to be removed when she was 11 weeks. She is 36 weeks now and so far so good. Baby seems to be doing well and they are not expecting any complications from the surgery.

I think it's pretty simple for the gallbladder, it's laparoscopy. They just suck it out! GL

Thanks! I do believe it will be laparoscopic so that does make me feel better.
