I just typed out a whole post and lost it, urgh!
Anyway we went to see Dr. Board with Raleigh Eye Center today. It was a really quick appointment. He did a cover test and looked inside Caleb's eyes. Everything looks great. I really liked Dr. Board, he took the time to explain everything and show me pictures of what he was talking about. I had never noticed a crossed eye in Caleb, and he said unless the parents notice it there is usually not a cross. He said sometimes there is an appearance of a crossed eye because of the way their nasal nose bridge is developing.
He also mentioned 3.5 years old is a great time for their first "real" eye exam (after an infant one) because you "get the most bang for your buck" since the child can participate in the exam.
