My DH got home at 7:30 p.m. last night from work and then steam cleaned the carpets in the whole apartment. It took him 3 hours!! Anyone who says that men don't "nest" are crazy!! Isn't he wonderful!!
You would be AMAZED at how much dirty nasty the water was as we were cleaning!! I am so glad he did it!! It makes me think to think i would set my baby on that filth bed of what seemed like a spotlessly clean carpet.
Thank you for the reminder! I keep meaning to tell DH to call and set an app't to get our carpets cleaned before LO arrives. We have 2 little dogs so I can only imagine the dirt we collect as they run their marathons around the house!
My DH also came home last night and finished shampooing the carpets. I had done the rest of the house, but knew the stairs and upstairs hallway would put me over the edge. I was so happy to come home to it being done.
We bought our own steam cleaner and shampoo..er..shampooer? and do this once a month. We hate having carpets, they are like clothes you dont wash but keep on wearing them. With the baby on the way we will probably be doing it more often.
very nice! My DH is nesting too, Friday he emailed me at work to tell me he is going to finish the nursery THIS weekend (which was this past now). I said ok get primer and everything and I'll help you get the room cleaned out (nothing had even been started). Well by Sunday night everything was painted and ready. We got home last night, I touched up some paint and he cleaned the floor (we have wood) then he set up the crib. Men DO nest, it's just in there own way some clean some build. Maybe next he'll do the mound of dishes :-)
Wow, that's great! My DH vacuumed and shampooed the carpet on the second floor Sunday night! The carpet in LO's room was messy due to the painting and such.
Re: I can't resist, I have to brag!
And here I was feeling grateful that DH changed the sheets on our bed last night...
