Update: on the weird family...
I just talked to my mom and she said that the $20 was for me to get nailpolish for ME! Her cousin wanted to get me a little gift so my mom suggested that since she knows how much I love those polishes.
That is a little more sensible, but my family is still weird. DH says that reading their cards/emails is like watching a Quentin Tarantino film - it starts in the middle, skips around a whole lot, and you have to read the whole thing before you have any idea what it's about.

Yes, she definite is sweet. And it was the perfect gift. I COULD put it towards the two colors I just got, but I'll probably get two more...
