In the mail today

was Colin's social security card.  Stopped me dead in my tracks.  Wasn't expecting that one!

Then I got a little sad that I will never get one for Ian because he was stillborn.  But, I am thankful that each of my boys has their own little story.  Ian was and will always be my first born child and Colin was and will always be my first child that I got to spend time with alive. 

It's still hard no matter what.

    Ugh...I was just wondering if we'd be getting one for Aubrey...Could we just be done with reminders trickling in at random times?

    Wow, I'm sorry.  I'm sure it did stop you dead in your tracks.  I'm glad that you have that to keep forever, but I imagine it is terribly hard.  lots of hugs.
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.
