DAY NIGHT REVERSAL

Hi ladies:

DD seems to have her days and nights reversed.  Fun!  Any recommendations?  Anyone know how long this usually takes to work itself out?

thanks!

Re: DAY NIGHT REVERSAL

  • Same thing happened with us for the first few weeks.  I think it works itself in a few weeks though - you're almost there!

During the day I kept things bright and noisy while she napped but at night kept it very low key, dim lights, etc.  I took her for a walk everyday - someone told me that seeing the sun helps.

  • My Pedi told us to expose DD to daylight and not to be quite around her during the day and it should work itself out for the most part.  It took about 8 weeks but slowly she started to sleep longer at night.  GL!

  • We swaddled only at night, and I still make sure to wake and feed after 3 hours, but feed only on demand at night.
