So when I called for betas this morning, I also left a message for my doctor regarding what he wanted to do about the Lovenox. I also asked if I was to get more betas done or if this was it.
I left this message around 8:30 this morning. Now, I understand my doctor is probably busy with patients all day, but I would have thought I'd have gotten a call by now.
What do you think? What is a reasonable amount of time to get a call back?
Re: XP: What do you think is reasonable?
My doc normally calls when he is done seeing patients for the day.
Could you try talking to a nurse? I have much better luck getting a hold of them...and they will hunt the Dr. down for me.
I say....with the history we all have, call.
It's actually 6:10 here. And they stop answering the phones at 4 or 4:30.
What does XP mean? I feel like I'm missing an important part of Message Board protocol that I need to know.
So to answer your question, my doctor usually calls me back after 5pm (sometimes pretty late into the evening) after she's done seeing patients for the day. I'd tell you to call the nurse, but you don't need her yelling at you again, so that's out. Run from this doctor if you haven't heard back by tomorrow. Unprofessional.
The nurse I spoke to said she didn't know and was leaving a message for the doc.

XP= Cross post, or something along those lines. She posted on more then one board.
The message on my Dr's answering service line says that all calls before 4:30pm will be returned that day, and any after that will be returned the next morning. One business day is more than enough time to give them...I say bug them tomorrow until they call you back! Is there a way you can refuse to leave another message? Can you talk to the scheduling person and insist on speaking to someone?
I'm sorry they're being such pains in the you-know-what. They're starting to make ME mad!!

Oh, sorry she wasn't helpful. There's nothing worse than feeling like something is so urgent and they don't care. I hope you get to speak to someone soon.
Hmmm....
If they stop answering the phones at 4:30, I guess I'd wait until tomorrow morning to call if the Dr. doesn't call you back tonight.
That's annoying.

Damn straight! You listen to CruzMommyG!
Given what you are calling about, and the fact that you have had losses and want to do everything possible for this pregnancy, I would have expected a call back today. You are a nicer person than I - I would have started calling around 2:00 until I got a response.
I hope they get back to you soon!
