ugggghhh (overreacting?)
Our nanny emailed me late last night - she's sick with a fever. I don't know any of her symptoms yet but I can help but think she has the flu. I think (God, I hope) Andrew wasn't exposed because she was here last babysitting late on Friday night. I am obnoxious about telling her to wash her hands, but, I'm also not home all day when she's there.
Luckily my mom is free all week to babysit (the least of my concerns) but I'm worried sick to my stomach.
And now I keep thinking - - heck, it isn't even October yet - - and I'm already terrified of Andrew getting sick. I'm working part-time (I don't have to, I want to) but wonder if I'm doing the wrong thing. I know if I stayed home he would still be exposed to germs, but I am EP, and I wouldn't be at work or at class, and I know I'm total anal retentive about washing my hands, etc.

I'm not sure what is going around in Indiana, but here in NJ there is something up with people getting fevers. ?Luckily, there doesn't seem to be many more symptoms that accompany this. ? My DH had a fever last week for 3 days and was pretty fatigued. ?He was fine within in a few days. ?Keira, Claire, and I all had low grade fevers that seemed pretty benign. ?(Although I kept expecting the worst!) ?My best friend's family had the same thing.?
I'd relax a little and wait and see if anything else develops with her. ?Chances are you just have a very conscientious nanny. ?Good luck! ?;)?

Swine flu is going around here (IN) and is noted by a fever & a cough...(I'm not sure if she has a cough)
I don't think you're over-reacting. Robbie woke up with a cold yesterday and I'm a nervous freaking wreck. Just waiting for the wheezing to start. the doc said daycare was okay, but I keep questioning, maybe I should get a nanny.. but then you still don't know.. what if, what if, what if...
