I'm sure you guys get these kinds of questions a lot, but here goes anyway.
I'm plan on returning to work after having LO. I also plan on pumping at work. I've read some reviews online and still haven't been able to decide based on the reviews alone. I'm guessing I'll probably be getting a lot of use out of my pump, so I'll need something that can keep up with that without burning out. Any recs??
I was originally looking at the Playtex double electric pump because I like the idea of the drop ins and not spilling/wasting milk. I just want to make sure that's still the best option for my needs.
TIA!
Re: Q from a 3rd Tri-er
I use the Ameda Truly Yours double electric, and it works great. Bonus is that milk never enters the tubing, so you just have to wash the flanges.
I'm not a fan of the drop-in systems, but only from an environmental standpoint. Lots of plastic bags in the trash. However, I am using freezer bags for milk (only way it will fit in my freezer in small batches), so maybe it's not so much an issue if you're just going from freezer to bottle.
I have the Medela Pump In Style Advanced and love it. It's pricey, but worth it if you are committed to bfing/pumping. I waited to buy it till I had a 15% bru coupon.
I think Baby Bargains also rates the Ameda Purely Yours and it's Lansinoh equivalent pretty highly, too.
