We need to buy a second car seat for my 3 y.o. and I'm looking for an economical option to keep him in a harness seat for at least another year. I love our Fisher Price Safe Voyage seat, but my understanding is they don't make those anymore.
Any recommendations? I love Britax seats, but since this is his second seat, that he won't be riding in as much, I'd like to be a little more economical.
Re: What car seat is your 3 y.o. in?
Britax Frontier and Graco Nautalus I don't love the nautalus, but don't really like it either. I love my Frontier.
They both turn into high back and no back boosters. DD will be in a five point harness for as long as I can keep her in it, until at least 5 so it was a good investment for us.
If you're looking for economical, then you're looking for a back-booster type carseat that uses the car's seat belt. Ethan has one and I am so not comfortable with it. Brooke is 3 and is in the Alpha Omega Elite (in pink of course) and is about to outgrow the top straps and apparently that carseat is not a very good one as far as being a booster.
SO, the general consensus absolutely everywhere seems to be the graco nautilus which puts me, given what I have in my cars, needing to buy four of them. It's the only one, or the only one decenlty priced, still pricy though, that goes to 65lbs with the 5pt harness.
