Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Took 3 hrs to put DS down last night :(

Saturday night we put DS down at 6:30 because he was getting fussy and yawning quite a bit. He slept till 12:00, ate, got up to eat at 3:30 and was up on and off from then.  Last night he was getting looking sleepy around 6:30 so we did the bedtime routine and he was down a little after 7.  He then woke up at 7:45 and didn't go down again till 9:30.  Ugh!  We rocked him, walked with him, stood in front of the fan, fed him, everything.  He woke up at 10:30 and DH was able to get him back to sleep fairly quickly. Luckily he slept till 3:15 so only 1 night time feeding instead of the usual 2, but I have no idea what to do. Do we keep trying to put him down early when he starts showing signs of being sleepy/getting fussy or do we push it back?  I'd like to be consistent with a bedtime but don't know what time to try to make that bedtime. Any suggestions?

  • Try getting a moby. When LO is fussy but wont really go down, I put her in a moby. She is ZONKED by the time I walk around for a little bit and let her just hang. Then I do the arm test. :) GL

  • DS and I both hated the Moby!  Made us both hot and uncomfortable, but I thank you for your suggestion.
  • HAHA! Thats ok, I hated my Moby for about 2 months and I just pulled it out again, it was too hot to wear but the weather is changing... we love it now!
