If you were a 1st time around'er and...

If you were a 1st time around IF'er and feelin' blue about all of the crap that goes along with IF, what would cheer you up in a care package?

Even as a 2IF'er what would cheer you up in a care package?

Re: If you were a 1st time around'er and...

  • Really? 12 reads and NO ONE has anything? There's NOTHING that would cheer you up? Come on ladies!!!

  • I really can't think of anything....I am not sure if anything would cheer me up.

  • I'm feeling pretty down and out at the moment.....hmmm-mani/pedi and some flowers?  I have no idea.  lol-

Really good chocolate chip cookies always make me smile....

ETA-WINE!  Wine always makes things seem better for a short amount of time.  What about some good gossip magazines?

  • I love hot chocolate and someone once gave me special kinds and that was super nice.

If I was a first timer getting a package some supplies for the crafts I like, to help keep my mind on other things.

This time around almost better than a care package would be a night of babysitting services to have a night out alone with the hubby.

  • I am feeling pretty blue right now, but someone to really recognize that it's hard, sympathize and realize how hard we are trying. Maybe flowers and a treat too but hubby just got me ice cream and I didnt even want it (I LOVE ice cream).. So I dunno..

  • For a friend of mine I sent a gift card to a restaurant near their hotel (they were getting treatments out of town) and a poem....i don't know the name of it, but it has something to do with "just don't quit".

I think anything you send (as long as it is not baby related) will be greatly appreciated.  I would say if the person has anything special that they really like (chocolate, wine, cookies, etc) that would be great and personal too!

How nice of you for doing this:)

  • Thanks friends! Great ideas - feel free to add to them if you care to!
  • Some great ideas above.

For me probably something to take my mind off it.

    Book by a fave author

Book on home improvements/decorating ( my continual work in progress Big Smile ) or cooking.  Or whatever interests your friend.

Mani/pedi is always a good idea

Fave movies on DVD with popcorn to watch with her DH, or tickets to a movie she wants to go see.

  • I think some magazines and some chocolate would be good!

You got some pretty good ideas.  Movie tickets, restaurant gift card, mani/pedi, etc...
