when did you get your first post partum period? Mine started last week (about 6 1/2wks post partum) even though I've been pumping since delivery. Sort of caught me off guard, but it's just one more in a long line of asskickings I've gotten lately.
Yep - mine was exactly 6.5 wks pp. Even though I started the mini-pill a week ago and the nurse practitioner said with that and BFing I probably wouldn't get a period.
I haven't. But I wasn't getting one before I got pregnant, which is why we had to do IVF, so I guess that could have something to do with it. And I just started the mini pill a few weeks ago, so who knows what will happen now.

I haven't gotten one yet and it'll be 9 weeks Monday...though were your babies still in the nicu when you all got yours at 6.5 wks (I didn't check before posting this)- DS was only in there 3 weeks...then I did some bf'ing and now i'm just pumping. I know this is normal at least for moms of full term babies...hmm...hope theres not something i don't know...i'm not worried though, when I wasn' on bc before my bfp - i had screwy cycles...my bfp was on cd64!!
8w pp for me. And I bled for 6 weeks after I had him, so that seriously sucked
Then I had 60 day cycles for a while, with one 25 day cycle thrown in. Then in April, I stopped having them. I stopped pumping about a month ago and am now taking provera to induce one. I swear my body just likes to screw with me.
i got mine about 2.5 months after my daughter's birth... the same week one of my breastfeeding friends started hers- 8 months after the birth of her son!!
i was shocked too- but they told me that everyone is different..
I am 3.5 months post partum & have still not gotten my first AF (which is fine with me!). I am surprised you got your period already. How many times a day do you pump?
10 weeks pp-it's a little depressing-my edd is still over a month away. oh and I bled through my entire pregnancy. ugh.
I was the same way. My period came back before Robbie's due date, and I had spotted essentially my entire pregnancy. I was joking the other day that since I haven't had a period since April, this is now the longest I've ever gone w/o one and I'm not even pregnant.
Rachel&Joe- I was pumping 8-10x/day and mine still came back right away. Some people even get them when they're nursing. And I just really don't think pumping affects things the same way nursing does.
Re: If you were pumping for a NICU baby...
8 months PP and I still haven't!!!
edit: but I'm still pumping
almost five months and still hasn't shown up yet. I am still BFing and pumping.
