Question about Pack n' Plays

So I've been looking at Pack n' Plays and we are thinking of using one for baby to sleep in our room for the first month or two (or however long), and I have a question.

There are the type with the "newborn napper" on top which is a cozy little bed attachment and then there are the type with a "bassinet" which is basically a bed that is the actual size of the pack n' play...know what I mean?

The one's I like have the newborn napper attachment but is that ok for a baby to sleep in all night? It seems like most posts I read the people are referring to the baby sleeping in the larger basinette, not the newborn napper.

Re: Question about Pack n' Plays

  • I think it'd be fine;  the napper is just something that came out to be new and different.  It's essentially a smaller bassinet.  Baby might actually be happier in it cuz it's cozy.  DD looked so small in the PNP bassinet that we actually used a Moses basket instead.

  • Thanks! Any other opinions? Has anyone used the newborn napper for all-night sleeping?
  • Mine had that attachment but only used it for changing diapers, DD slept in the big part on the bottom from the get-go.
