We were just like you and went back and forth on ordering a doppler. This will likely be our one and only Baby, so I really didn't want to buy one. We are renting one from Dynamic Doppler and LOVE it. It runs us $20/month (we got the standard one) and has made this pregnancy so, so much more enjoyable, esp since we had a loss last  time. We ordered it around 13 weeks or so and have never had a problem finding the heartbeat. Their shipping was REALLY fast and when we are done with it, they send us a prepaid box and we send it back!

 I had a really scary bleeding episode last week and being able to hear the heart beat while we waited for my OB to call us back made having one worth every single penny!

    Off-topic: I can't believe you're not in 2nd tri yet! Glad to hear that you and the baby are doing fine though, and I hope it's all smooth sailing from here on out.

    Great, thanks. I might do that!  I still think I'm gonna wait another week and then order. It might still be too early now....I keep going back and forth if you can't tell!
