Ortho tri cyclen regular or lo?

in Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months
Before dd, I was on orth tri cyclen for 14 years and never had problems. I plan on going back on the pill now and doc recommends Lo. Should I try the Lo or go to the regular one? Thanks

    Did she say why she recommended the Lo? It seems weird since you didn't have any problems with the regular. I took both and neither worked for me. Hormonal BC and I do not mix at all, and tricyclic BCP made me completely insane. I would ask her why she's advising you to go with the Lo, and if you don't agree, stick with what works.

    I love the Lo, was on it for 6 years before DS, but I did get pregnant with DS on Lo. After talking to my Dr, she had told me that they were seeing more cases of people getting pregnant on lower doses of BCP. That being said, now that I am not breastfeeding any more, I am back on it. Its like not being on a pill at all for me. It gave me no side effects, just a baby after six year, LOL!

    I have been on both in the past and don't recall any problems with either of them.

    I've been on the LO since having my son and I don't think I like it.  I notice my migraines are worse and I still have a lot of breakthrough bleeding.  I've tried it to help with acne and it just does so so with that.

    LOL-I was on regular Ortho Tri for around 10 years, went on Lo due to migraines during my period, was on it for 2 months...and got pregnant w/DS! So yeah, I would recommend sticking w/regular Ortho Tri : )

    Lo was the only BCP that my body could tolerate. I used it for years and it was great.
