  She was our first pick but her partner didn't take my insurance.  So if I delivered and her partner had to do it, we would be stuck with a huge bill.  This was not a risk we were willing to take.  I'm not sure why they work like that. 

   I was also annoyed that my first visit was with a nurse and I had to come back for the u/s and to meet the doctor.  I feel this could all be accomplished in one visit, and was at my new doc.

   We cancelled before we saw her so I can't tell you anything about her office.

  Thank You squishles I appreciate you sharing your experience. I have read other post about the first visit being with the nurse and the second visit with the doctor. I also think that is a little odd. She has her own practice now and I did not notice any other doctors names so hopefully we will not have the same insurance issues as you did. I am not sure just yet if she will see me. I am in my 13th week and I have not had any prenatal test beside an ultrasound at 9 weeks to confirm and date the pregnacy from another doctor. She wants me to come in ASAP but our insurance will not cover any appointments for another 3 weeks. So we are crossing our fingers she will still see us. Blah stress stress. Who do you have now? Do you like your doctor?

  I have John Paul Roberts.  He is located at Presby Plano, and delivers at Presby Plano.  I really like him, as does my husband, a doc and super picky about docs.  His nurses are also way awesome.  My regular doc recommended both of them.
