Is your LO getting the flu vaccine??

And are you and DH? My LO'sgetting his next week. My employer offers it and I'm trying to convince my DH to get one.

My youngest can't get it b/c of his egg allergy but his older brother did just get it on Friday.

My husband thinks he's all good to not get the flu vaccine because he thinks he already had the flu.

I probably won't get the vaccine because I get sick every time I do get it.

I just had a very long conversation with my friend who is a micro biologist. I feel pretty comfortable with what she told me as well as adding my pedi's advise, who is a few weeks further along then me. We will all be getting both vaccines. I have always gotten the flu shot in the past because I have a bad immune system.

DS already got the first rgular flu shot. Since he only got one last year he will need a booster in about a month.

DH and I plan on getting the regular flu vacs too

DS will probably get the H1N1 vacs. My pedi who is PG recommends it and said she will get it (she is very PG) and will get it for her 3 year old DD.

DH and I will get it depending on supply since we are not in any high risk categories.

I am hoping that all of us will get the regular flu shot. Probably not the swine flu shot, though.

DD and I are getting the regular flu shot next week. DH will not. None of us are getting the H1N1 vax.

I always get the flu shot if it is available (I work in a school and there are lots of illnesses). DH refuses. I think we will get both for DS this year. He is in daycare and it just makes me too nervous not to.

DD already got the regular flu shot last week. Her doc hasn't formed an opinion on the swine flu shot yet (but the practice doesn't have any in anyway).

Not sure if DH and I are getting one. I got one last year when DD got her 2-shot flu series but the doc didn't say anything about it yet.

My DD and I got ours on Friday. My DH will be getting one as well.

As for the swine flu vaccine, I'm not sure yet. I haven't talked to my OB about it yet. One of my best friend's moms is a pediatrician and she said it will be released at the end of Oct. and will go in waves...highest risk first, which, being pregnant, I will be part of. Babies are in the 2nd wave I believe. She recommended that we both get it, and I take her opinion/recommendation very seriously. But I will still talk to my OB about it, as well as my DD's pedi. It wouldn't hurt to get as many opinions as possible.

I got my flu shot last week in preparation to get the H1N1. I have to talk to the dr before giving DD flu shot we are suspecting an egg allergy so I think I want to test for that one allergy first because last year when she got it she had a fever and threw up for 2 days. If she is cleared than I will give it to her. I am also undecided about giving her the H1N1.

Yes to DD and myself. DH...only if he ends up going to the doctor and they tell him to (he doesn't listen to me). I am still debating the swine flu shot....we shall see what my doctor, public health nurse and mom (ER nurse) recommend.

Yes. He got one last year too. He has never had any reactions to any vaccines so I'm not worried about it. We do a lot of activities and I don't want to be worried about him catching anything if I can help it.

DD and I will be getting the regular flu shot. I'm a teacher, so I get it every year. The one year I didn't get it I got the flu and was so sick. Never again. DH has never gotten it before. I don't think we'll be getting the H1N1. It's too new for me and I don't know too much about it.

Nope, she didn't last year either. I've never had one; DH got one once and was sick all winter.
