recipe for chicken noodle soup ds LOOOVES (easy)

even on his pickiest days he will eat bowls of this stuff.. just wanted to share.

i make a pretty good chicken noodle soup..but for some reason the recipe on the back of the pastina box is his favorite
i 1/2 the recipe and it still makes a ton..

46oz chicken broth
6 cups waters
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup sliced celery
2 cups cooked, sliced chicken
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 bay leaf
6oz pastina pasta

In 5qt sauce pan comine all ingredients except pasta; bring to a boil. stir in uncooked pasta and cook for 6 minutes. DONE

my modifications are:
i use the food proc for the vegetables and chicken and get them as small as i can. i leave out the onion and use onion powder instead. i also leave out the basil. i simmer the soup for 20 minutes before adding pasta and throw in a small bag of peas. i let half of it cool and freeze it in a freezer safe bag.
