RE put me on modified activity for 2 weeks after ET, including no sex. I had my beta today and they said I could go back to excersizing, just no bouncing/jumping/etc. Does that mean I can finally have sex again?

ha! so gently is ok ;-) I've heard, somewhere, that an orgasm can hurt the implantation/growing process of the embryo. Just wondering if that's true.
I actually read that the opposite is true -- in fact, I think someone on this board (not sure who) has a doc who recommends sex!
Anyways, I was told to abstain for 7 days after ER due to infection purposes, but after that it was fine. My doc does not feel that research supports bedrest or overly limited physical activity.
The first thing I was told when I got my positive beta was "don't have sex." I think my RE is just conservative, though. They also told me to avoid having orgasms because I wouldn't want to do anything that would cause contractions in the uterus. It has been a loooong time now and my husband has started calling my RE "Dr. C*ckblock."

Sex will not cause a miscarriage so most dr.'s ok it. However, I like many people still worried about it. I was told no sex in the 2WW but it was ok after beta's. But, I was not comfortable with it and I was 12 weeks before we had sex again!! My poor DH had to be tortured for a while but understood because it made me nervous.
I didn't get the green light till 8 weeks. I would say if you're OK to go back to exercising but no bouncing/jumping, I'd just make sure whatever sex you have is the "slow romantic" type, not the "hump like animals" type!

Re: IVFer's....Question
My RE just said nothing too "rough" in regards to sex. LOL!
