Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

My child is currently being spoiled rotten.

She's at the mall with my mom and brother this morning. This means she will return with clothes or a new toy and full of ice cream or something else sweet.

Then they are grocery shopping, which is Jo's favourite thing. She LOVES the grocery store. So she'll come home with popsicles and some sort of weird treat I'd never considered.

Then they'll be swimming in my mom's pool and when I go to get her I will hear "no mommy! Go away! Nana house."

:) Ahh to be 18 months old again.

That's too funny. DS is the same way when he stays at my parents' house. When I come to pick him up, he sees me walk in the door and then quickly crawls to my mom as if to say, "Don't let her take me!"

  • Gotta love grandparents!  J was at my mom's last night and came home with a case of diapers, a case of wipes, a 20 pack of toilet paper (?!), 4 pairs of jeans and 3 pairs of footie pajamas.  What the what????

Don't even get my started on grandpa's house where he gets all the ice cream and apple pie he can eat.  No wonder he likes it so much over there.

  • Cute! My family and DH's family is the same way. She got some new Tinkerbell and Sleeping Beauty sippy cups, but she can't use them because she doesn't know how to drink out of a straw. She also got some cool Mickey Mouse books and interactive book reader thingy, but again, can't enjoy just yet. I make them keep the stuff at their house because I don't have any room to store it at our house.

  • DD has also started to cry when we leave my parent's house. The last time we were there, it was hell trying to get her back into her carseat.

  • Smile  That is so sweet that she has such a wonderful relationship with Grandma.  She is a lucky little girl.
  • This is what it's like at my BIL's house.  DS loves it there - he's the center of everybody's attention, gets new clothes, and gets to go swimming - why would he want to come home

OMG- that is so funny- it would make me feel bad but I would laugh!

  • And by pool you mean your mom will drill a hole in the ice and take her for a dip if there aren't too many walruses/polar bears/men clubbing baby seals that day?
  • Sounds like Jo's living the life.
