What would you have wanted to receive in a care package during your first tri? So far I am thinking a Be Band, Belly Book journal, pregnancy tea and crackers.
Comfy PJs, a book about pregnancy (if its her first), saltines and lots and lots of reassurance that the m/s does eventually go away! Maybe include a onesie/baby blanket that she can look at or hold onto when she is feeling especially sick (for motivation).
Unscented hand soap. Seriously. We had Bath and Body Works hand soap and I was convinced it was spoiled somehow because the scent of hand soap made me so horribly sick during the first trimester. Apparently Heather Armstrong (Dooce) had the same aversion during her first trimester, too.
preggie pop drops, ginger snaps, a book on pregnancy

The girlfriends guide to pregnancy is a great book for a first time mom. Also, I would def agree with the saltines and ginger ale, a bella band is a great idea too.
such a cute idea! I had a horrible taste in my mouth most of 1st tri and I loved sucking on the little preggie pop hard candies while I was at work (less noticable than the pop with the stick hanging out lol!) I also liked Jolly Ranchers, maybe a little travel sized toothbrush/toothpaste/mouth wash kit....i had morning sickness in some pretty inconvenient bathrooms (like walmart...YUUUUCKKK) and I quickly learned to start carrying my toothbrush and stuff in my purse. a blank new calendar or event book to chart her progress and feelings maybe?

I agree on the pg book if it is her first, bella band, maybe a fancy cupcake or something cute like that to play of the cravings, I like the GC for maternity clothes idea....My best gifts have been clothing either borrowed or bought - as we are on a budget, but they are totally necessary and if they're cute they make you feel better. Tylenol... ) I would have liked good decaf coffee (if she is a big coffee drinker, it's a big deal to give it up).
Re: 1st trimester care package
A week off to sleep ... LOL!
I'm assuming this is a gift a newly pregnant person? What about a GC for maternity clothes? Ginger ale?
