I picked Jack up from DH's grandmother's house yesterday and she announced that she thought he might be sick. Um, yeah.
The plan was to meet DH at FIL's house and go to iPhone/Movie night from there, so thats where I headed. By the time we got there, Jack was on fire. A thermometer read later, 102.7*. He got a bath (wailed lathargically the whole time), and DH finally got there with the Tylenol .... which he promptly threw up. The nurse's line called back, and we finally got some Tylenol into his system, and seriously, within 30 minutes his fever had dropped to 100* and he was babbling away again.
So ... no iPhone/movie for me yesterday ... we'll go pick it up tomorrow morning I guess. The fever really freaked me out. Honest to golly, my kid hasn't ever had one. I didn't know what to do! My baby is almost 15 months old and I didn't know what/how much medicine to give! I didn't know 'how high is too high' for a fever! I didn't know if my Pedi's office had an after hours line! I felt really dumb.
I guess there has to be a first time for everything.

How much does he weigh hon? I'm sorry he is sick.
ETA: A weighs 25ish pounds and gets 1.6ml of Tylenol.
Under 24lbs gets .8ml according to the bottle but my pedi said that 18-24lbs should get 1.2ml.
See, thats just it ... I really have no idea how much he weighs. His 15 mo. appt. is next week, and he broke our scale we have at home. I *think* he probably weighs 25-26ish lbs, but I only gave him the .8ml the box told me last night.

Sorry that he got sick! Although I am totally jealous that you went this long. That is amazing to me.
Glad he is feeling better. At least this way you have ALL DAY tommorow to play with your new phone.
Sick kiddos are never fun, and high fevers are just plain scary.
I am glad he is doing better today.
Sorry he's feeling so bad! High fevers are scary. We went to Acute Kids Urgent care for Addy once after hours and I
that place. I think it's a great option to have when pedi is closed. Not sure if they have those by you though. It's like a Care Now for kids.
