TTC After a Loss

What songs do you relate to your TTCAL journey?

(Shhhh, I'm sneaking on at work...Zip it!)

What songs remind you of your struggles ttcal? For me, The Climb by Miley Cyrus reminds me that as much as this totally sucks the big one, always makes me tear up. Never thought I'd say that about a Miley song, but hey...never thought I'd be doing a lot of things...

I'll sneak back on later...::tip toes out::

THIS!!!! This song has pulled me through sooooo many stormy days in the past few years. Literally, I just teared up when I read your post and was getting ready to post the same song.

"Bring the Rain"---by Mercy Me always hits my soft spot too.

  • Bring on the rain - Jo Dee Messina

Oh, good one.  With the second loss, the song "Wait and See" by Brandon Heath is spot on.  There's a link to the song in my blog if you're interesed.

  • "You Found Me" by The Fray. It was playing on the radio the second I got in the car after our 12 week scan that found we'd lost the baby. I think the words are really appropriate. I wrote about it in my blog back in May/June. It still makes me tear up.
  • Surfer -- I remember your posting about that song too (at least I think it was you). Every time I hear it on the radio, I think of your post.

  •  Definitely The Climb by Miley Cyrus.

I Grieve by Peter Gabriel reminds me of our loss.  DH plays it all the time.

  • All of this is exactly why I can't listen to contemporary Christian music stations. Waaay too emotional for me.
  • Rodney Atkins, If You're Going Through Hell

Mostly because it's played so much after this loss and it's kinda hopeful for me like "suck it up and keep going"  There are a few others but I can't remember names

Im extremely jealous that your cousin is in counting crows.  All my cousins ever do are 1- get arrested or 2- go to BYU and have giant familes.

  • That is so funny. He is the lead singer of Casting Crowns though...not Counting Crows. :) I am very proud of him. Their music is awesome....and Praise you in this Storm is amazing. My fav. part, "Every tear I've cried, You hold in your hand. You never left my side, and though my heart is torn, I will praise you in this storm."
